SAFE HANDS FOR YOUNG MINDS
All efforts will be maintained to ensure the safety of minors whilst within ART-CELL projects. Participation in ART-CELL events should be stress free, enjoyable and memorable experiences. If working within a school environment, within school hours, then the schools own procedures will overide those of ART-CELL. Likewise if working within the confines of any other establishment whose charges are minors (e.g. youth offending). If working out of the minors establishment hours (after school clubs, for instance) then Parental consenf forms must be formalised giving contact details in case of emergency and permition, if necessary, to transfer any injured child to a place of medical care.
Concerns over suspected abuse of a child will be reported to the relevant authority as we believe that being proved wrong is the healthier, and hoped for, option. The care of the minor is always paramount.

Any practitioners engaged by ART-CELL will be CRB checked prior to being engaged and must hold their own PUBLIC LIABILITY insurance cover.

Any and all complaints will be taken seriously, investigated and, should fault be found, steps taken.

This constitutes the ART-CELL code of practice but remains subject to improvement as learning allows and law insists.
